Whisky Distillery production takes a rest
Producing the beautifully balanced single malt at the heart of the Dewar’s blend is no easy task, and in common with every Scotch whisky distillery, we cease to produce whisky for a certain period in the year, called Silent Season. This period allows for essential maintenance and improvement works to our production facilities.
Always a fascinating distillery visitor experience
Silent Season is a time when our 5-star visitor experience really comes into its own. Our beautiful visitor centre with Whisky Lounge and cafe, our immersive heritage exhibition with iPad guide, and our atmospheric warehouse are unaffected by the production downtime, ensuring a fascinating visit whatever the time of year.
Great value for money
Furthermore, to compensate for the fact that we cannot guarantee a tour of the production facility during this time, we offer an additional tasting of Scotch whisky, allowing you to enjoy both an Aberfeldy single malt, and a Dewar’s blended whisky during your visit.
Finally, we also reduce our tour prices. A visit to Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery during Silent Season represents great value. We look forward to welcoming you.
